*The Long Beach Barracuda changed their name to the Riptide on the last day of the 1995 regular season, following ownership turmoil. They then won the WBL championship that year playing under their newly adopted name.

**The Western Warriors were a league-operated, travel-only emergency club introduced midseason 1998 to replace the Grays Harbor Gulls on the scheduled after that club disbanded midseason. The Warriors had no home city.
