  1. I have 12 pennants ( beautiful condition ) from the 1998 – 99 Nashville Noise women’s basketball team. Where can I go to get appraisals for these items ?

    I don’t know that you need to get them appraised per se. The challenge with women’s basketball memorabilia is that there are very few collectors.

    The Noise are a compelling team because they only existed for a little more than a month. You might find one or two collectors with a keen sense of history that leap at the chance to buy the first pennant or two off you in the $25 – $35 range (perhaps). The challenge is what to do with the other 10. There’s just no market other than e-Bay really. My guess is that you’d get $5 – $10 apiece (before fees) after you sell that first one and even at that it might take you a couple of years to unload them all.

    You could offer them to a dealer (like me) as a bulk lot, but I wouldn’t expect much. I’m one of the few guys that will touch WNBA or other women’s basketball stuff. Based on the above challenges, couldn’t offer more than $20 for the lot, plus shipping. Unfortunately, the women’s game doesn’t attract male collectors and few women collect, so it’s kind of a dead zone for memorabilia.
