The Anaheim Piranhas were a short-lived entry in the Arena Football League. The club played two seasons at Arrowhead Pond (now known as the Honda Center) in the summers of 1996 and 1997. After a promising debut in 1996 that saw the expansion team win its first seven games and claim of 3,000 season tickets sold, the Piranhas suffered an astounding collapse of on-field competence and box office support during the second season. The Storm were an ill-fated Orange County entry in the indoor National Lacrosse League that played two winter seasons at Arrowhead Pond in 2004 and 2005. The team was dreadful in competition, posted a 1-15 record in their debut season and following that up with a 5-11 performance in 2005. The team’s woes were compounded by its murky and troubled ownership scheme and the Storm quietly disbanded in the summer of 2005.

The Anaheim Splash played four seasons in the Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL) and were typically among the league’s stronger clubs, thanks to a roster stocked with long-time indoor veterans like Ralph Black, Rod Castro, Dale Ervine and Doug Neely. The Splash folded along with the rest of the CISL in late 1997.
